Your club v the rest, every day
PowerPin Rugby is a free daily rugby quiz on a world map: five clues about famous grounds, matches and moments, and you tap where each one happened. It takes about two minutes. Start a league for your club and your members can see who's top today, this week and all season, right there in the club WhatsApp group.
Set it up in under a minute
- Play today's round at playpowerpin.com/rugby.
- Sign in with Google or your email address (we email you a code; about 30 seconds).
- Tap Start a league (at the end of the round, or in Stats), give it your club's name, and share the invite link in your club chat.
That's it. Members tap the link, sign in, pick their team and a nickname, and they're in.
What your members get
- The same five clues as everyone else each day, so the banter is fair.
- A league table that starts again every Monday, so everyone has a chance (last week's winner gets a 🏆), plus today's scores and the whole season.
- Their own streak, and reminders if they want them.
- On big Test and Six Nations days, matchday rounds about that day's teams.
Duels for the clubhouse
Settle the 1st XV v 2nd XV argument: start a duel, post the link in the group, and everyone who plays it sees who got closest, clue by clue. Duels use their own five clues, separate from the daily round, and stay open until midnight the day after they're started. How duels work.
Good to know
- It's free. There's nothing for the club to sign up to or pay.
- Up to 500 members can join one league. Start more than one if you like: one for the 1st XV, one for the minis' parents.
- Private. Only people in your league see its table and nicknames. Anyone with the invite link can join, so share it in your club's own chats.
- You stay in charge. Whoever runs the league can rename it, remove members, or hand it to someone else. If they stop playing, it passes to a long-standing member automatically, so a club league is never left without someone in charge. Nicknames must be friendly, and members can report a bad one.
- Members' details stay theirs. Each member has their own account; the club doesn't get anyone's email or personal information, and neither does anyone else. Our privacy policy has the details.
- Leagues carry on season to season. Members who stop playing move to the bottom; a league nobody plays for 13 months closes itself.
